Paucar Wins Five On Tuesday Card

Edgar Paucar, second nationally in wins, strides to the winner's circle on
Clever Revolution after his fifth win Tuesday at Beulah Park in the eighth race.

Grove City, Ohio  – 29-year-old Edgar Paucar continued his dominance over the Beulah Park oval by recording five victories on the Tuesday program. Currently the leading jockey at the Winter/Spring Meet, Paucar scored victories in races one, four, five, six and eight with Better Butter ($14.60), Dove Mountain ($6.80), Proud to Be ($4.80), Houston Texas ($26.00) and Clever Revolution ($6.40) respectively. Notching his 93rd win of 2005, Paucar moves into second nationally among jockeys for victories just ahead of Dean Sarvis.

Native of Lima, Peru, Paucar hails from the famed riding school that produced stars Edgar Prado, Rafael Bejarano, Paucar began his U. S career at the Massachusetts Fair Circuit before shifting his tack to Suffolk Downs shortly after. Paucar is married and looks to parlay his success at Beulah into future success this summer. Beulah Park races three days a week Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. First post time is set for 1:15 p.m.
