Beulah Sets All Time Wagering Record,
Plus A $50,000 Winner
January 18, 2006
GROVE CITY, OH – Beulah
Park shattered it’s all time pari-mutuel handle Wednesday by over $600,000,
plus gave $50,000 to a single 25-cent ticket winner of the Fortune 6.
Total wagering for both live and off-track was $3,216,364, eclipsing the
previous standard of $2.6 million set in February 2004.
The brand-new, one-of-a-kind Fortune 6 wager Beulah introduced last week,
produced a single ticket holder with six of six winners. That feat earned
the lucky fan $50,000 for just a 25-cent bet.
“We couldn’t be happier,” smiled Mike Weiss, Beulah Park’s general manager.
“To have the biggest day in the track’s 81year history, plus, give one of
our fans $50,000 for playing the new 25- cent wager Fortune 6, is just
great!”
Friday’s Fortune 6 picks up again Friday afternoon at Beulah Park with a
$10,000 jackpot attached. WinTicket.com sponsors the wager.
First post at Beulah Park Friday 1:15 p.m.
