Mercer’s Launch Cruises To Victory In Feature
March 19, 2005

Scioto Farm Supply, Inc.’s Mercer’s Launch took charge early and clearly dominated the field in the Saturday feature at Beulah Park. Five allowance runners battled as Mercer’s Launch and War Special dueled early. Disposing of her foe with less than three furlongs to run, Mercer’s Launch drew away to an impressive 6-1/4-length victory. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:13 4/5.

Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez for trainer Albert Palacios, Mercer’s Launch paid $2.20, $2.20, and $2.10 as the odds-on favorite. Hip Hop Sis rallied strongly for second and returned $3.80 and $2.10. War Special faded to third and paid her backers $2.10.

Razamataza Dazzles In Beulah Feature
March 18, 2005

Owner-trainer Patricia Justice’s Razamataza stalked the pace before pouncing on the leader to win the featured race at Beulah Park on Friday. Six allowance runners battled as Vegas Attraction used his early speed to open a long lead down the backstretch. Unhurried in the early going, Razamataza slowly weaved his way through traffic and wore down the pacesetter with less than 100 yards to run. Razamataza won by ½ of a length in a running time of 1:51 for the one mile and seventy yards over the fast track.

Ridden by Jorge Collazo, Sr. Razamataza paid $13.40, $7.60 and $4.40. Vegas Attraction faded to second and returned $6.20 and $4.80. Papa’s Prize rallied strongly for third and had a payoff of $5.60.

‘Yankee’ Batting 1,000 At Beulah After Feature Race
March 16, 2005

Shazam Stables and Albert Palacios’ Yankee Road pushed his record to two-for-two lifetime at Beulah Park by winning the featured race on Wednesday. Seven Ohio-bred allowance runners squared off as Yankee Road shot to the lead and never looked back, drawing away to a three-length victory. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:13 3/5.

Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez for trainer Albert Palacios, Yankee Road paid $4.60, $3.80 and $2.60 as the wagering favorite. Jeramiah John stalked the front-runner to finish second and returned $5.80 and $3.40. Here Comes Bragg pressed the pace before fading to third and returned his backers $3.00.

Eisenhower Leads The Charge In Beulah Feature
March 15, 2005

Victoria Anderson’s Eisenhower took command in the early stages and never looked back in the featured race at Beulah Park on Tuesday. Six Ohio-bred claimers battled as Eisenhower sprinted to the front with Dunne Right in close pursuit. Turning for home Eisenhower dispatched his foe and drew away to a 4 ¼ length win. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:14 2/5.

Ridden by Casey Chavez for trainer Patrick Craddock, Eisenhower returned $3.80, $3.20 and $2.40 as the wagering favorite. Bri’s Bad Boy stalked the pace to finish second and paid $4.40 and $3.20. The Potters Hand closed well for third and had a payoff of $2.60.

B B's Pleasure Pulls Upset In Beulah Feature
March 14, 2005

Owner-trainer Kerney Hancock's B B's Pleasure made a strong move down the lane to upset the field in the Beulah Park feature on Monday. Eight top-class claimers clashed as Watch Me Leave, Tracmac and Miss Rue Du Lac dueled for the early lead. Unhurried in the opening stages, B B's Pleasure drove six-wide on the final turn and wore down the leaders at the wire. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:15 1/5.

Ridden by Jorge Collazo, Sr., B B's Pleasure paid $22.20. $8.40 and $6.00. Be My Molly closed strongly and took over the lead before being caught in the final strides to return $4.60 and $4.00. Jancy Girl finished third and returned her backers $6.00.
