Just 'Fabulous' For Feature Victory

Dave Basler’s Fabulous Passion stalked the early pacesetters before seizing command and strolling away with the win at Beulah Park. Eight allowance fillies and mares dueled as Regal’s Big Girl, Lovely Risk and Bye Bye Sky battled for the lead. Moving into the lane Regal’s Big Girl began to edge away until Fabulous Passion surged past her and drew off to an 8 ¼ length score. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:12 3/5.

Ridden by Marco Ccamaque for trainer Bill Beamer, Fabulous Passion paid $3.40, $2.80 and $2.20 as the wagering favorite. Regal’s Big Girl faded to second and returned $5.60 and $3.60. Brief Delight closed well for third and had a payoff of $3.60.

Right On ‘Target’ For Beulah Feature
January 27, 2006

Owner-trainer Chris Dorris’ Target West relaxed near the rear of the field before bursting through the pack to win the Friday feature. Eight, allowance/optional claimers battled as Smokin’ John, Access Approved and Derby Time dueled fiercely for early supremacy. At the top of the lane Target West maneuvered away from the inside and surged past tired rivals for the victory with 70 yards to run. Winning by a length Target West covered the mile over the fast track in 1:39 4/5.

Ridden by Marco Ccamaque, Target West paid $38.00, $9.60 and $5.80 as the second longest shot in the wagering. The entry of One Smooth Ride and Access Approved finished second and third and they returned $3.60 and $3.40.

High 'Society' The Order of the Day in Grove City

R L Buse Jr.’s Ohio Society battled with the early leaders before drawing away to victory in the Wednesday feature. Seven Ohio-bred fillies and mares dueled as Si Mi Bonita and Uproariously Vicky tussled for early command with Ohio Society tracking them from the rail spot. At the top of the lane Ohio Society took charge and cleared off to a 6-3/4 length win. The running time for the six furlongs over the fast track was 1:15 2/5.

Ridden by Edgar Paucar for trainer Donn Rowe, Ohio Society returned $5.20, $3.80 and $2.20 as the second choice in the wagering. Uproariously Vicky finished second and paid $16.00 and $4.80. Si Mi Bonita faded to third and returned her backers $2.40.

Fog Light by DQ In Beulah Feature
January 24, 2006

Joe Faulkner’s Fog Light lost the lead late in the lane only to be victorious in the Tuesday feature at Beulah Park. Eight claiming fillies and mares set sail as Party Hostess took charge with Future Blessing following intently from second. Midway through the turn for home Golden Loretta and Fog Light moved in tandem to engage the leader. Inside the final furlong Golden Loretta began to lug in and impeded the running path of Fog Light causing the disqualification. The running time for the 5-1/2 furlongs over the fast track was 1:07 3/5.

Ridden by Paul Melancon for trainer Rickey Faulkner, Fog Light returned $6.20, $3.60 and $3.20. Golden Loretta paid $5.60 and $5.40. Party Hostess faded to third and had a show payoff of $6.20.

Louis' Star Glows in Monday Feature

Owner-trainer Ivan Vazquez’s Louis’ Star settled just behind the early pace before springing into action to stride away with the featured race from Beulah Park. Seven allowance fillies and mares did battle as Satin Song dueled with Check the Math through the opening furlongs. Relaxed near the back of the pack Louis’ Star swung into action with 3 furlongs left to run. Gaining the lead in the final 100 yards, Louis’ Star drew away to a 5 length victory. The running time for the mile over the muddy track was 1:44 1/5.

Ridden by Ramon Luna, Louis’ Star paid $4.60, $3.20 and $2.40 as the wagering favorite. Sophette closed well for second and returned $4.00 and $2.60. Check the Math faded to third and paid her backers $2.40.
