Air Forbes Soars In Beulah Park Feature

Justine Welsh’s Air Forbes dashed pass pacesetter Shaack in the final 70
yards to win the featured race at Beulah Park on Saturday. Ten competitive
claimers clashed as Shaack, Air Forbes and Full Speed Ahead sprinted to the
front in the 4-½ furlongs contest. Turning for home Shaack began to pull
away before Air Forbes re-rallied to overtake Shaack and draw away to a
½-length victory. The running time was 53 1/5 seconds over the fast track.
Ridden by Steve Capeles for
trainer Cindy Haehn, Air Forbes paid $7.20, $4.20 and $2.80 as the slight
favorite in the wagering. Shaack held on to second and returned $4.60 and
$2.80. Conte Amour uncorked a strong run to finish third and paid his
backers $2.60.

Secret Compliance Sweeps Them Off Their Feet

Owner-trainer Joe Faulkner’s
Secret Compliance strolled away to a convincing five-length victory in the
featured race at Beulah Park on Friday. Ten speedy start allowance foe’s
squared off as Secret Compliance took command early and never looked back.
The running time for the five furlongs over the fast track was 59 seconds,
which is the third fastest of the meet at that distance.
Piloted by leading jockey
Marco Ccamaque, Secret Compliance paid $5.80, $3.40 and $2.80. Bricks
Princess rallied on strongly for second and returned $5.80 and $3.60.
Hanna’s Gamble faded to third and had a show payoff of $4.20.

Son of Mariah Scores Runs UP A Storm

Owner-trainer Ivan Vazquez’s
Son of Mariah notched her fourth victory in seven starts at Beulah Park this
fall by vanquishing a field of nine in the Thursday feature. Breaking
sharply from the gate, Son of Mariah battled with known speedster Our
Cherokee. After dispatching him at the ¼ pole, Son of Mariah began to draw
away to a comfortable one-length victory over the fast surface. The running
time for the six furlongs was 1:12 4/5.
Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez, Son
of Mariah paid $26.60, $12.00 and $5.20. Code Name Elmer set back off the
pace to finish second and returned $5.80 and $3.60. Lifes Crown rallied for
third and had a payoff of $4.40.

Chief Cahill Rebounds In Leg Four Of The Bluegrass Warrior Distance
Series At Beulah Park

Reuben Peppers’ Chief Cahill
scored his seventh victory of the year and third in four tries at Beulah
Park by crushing the competition in the featured race at Beulah Park on
Tuesday. Nine seasoned veterans dueled through the raindrops as Chief Cahill
seized control from the start and never looked back, clearing off to a
six-three-quarter length romp over the good going. The running time for the
1 ¾ miles was 3:05 4/5.
The Bluegrass Warrior
Distance Series is a set of five races contested during the fall meet at
Beulah Park. The series starts at 1 1/8 miles and increases to 2 miles.
Chief Cahill won legs one and two convincingly before the setback in leg
three. This victory marked the three in four tries over the Beulah Park oval
this fall.
Ridden by Marco Ccamaque
for trainer Robert Cline, Chief Cahill returned $4.00, $2.80 and $2.60 as
the heavy favorite in the wagering. Pete’s Skianno ran on well for second
and paid $7.20 and $4.20. Grand Appearance rallied belatedly for third and
had a payoff of $4.20.

Leaving Texas A Huge Winner At Beulah Park

Faulkner’s Leaving Texas used his tactical speed to his advantage in
upsetting the field in the featured race at Beulah Park on Sunday. Ten
competitive claimers battled as Leaving Texas broke on top but was quickly
overtaken by George M and Heavenly Performer. Gathering momentum around the
turn, Leaving Texas powered past the pacesetters at the top of the stretch
and drew off to a two-length victory. The running time for the six furlongs
on the muddy track was 1:12 3/5.
Ridden by Edgar Paucar,
Leaving Texas paid $26.00, $10.00 and $12.00 as the second longest shot in
the wagering. Ambitious Buster rallied on well for second and returned
$10.00 and $7.00. Pacesetter Heavenly Performer faded to third and had a
show pay of $13.20.
Live racing returns to
Beulah Park on Tuesday with ten live races. Tuesday’s feature is the fourth
leg of the Bluegrass Warrior distance series at the distance of 1 and ¾
miles. Chief Cahill looks to rebound from the defeat in leg three as he
faces new shooters Heptagone and Pete Skianno. Tuesday’s post time is set
for 12:55 p.m.
