Foot On the Floor Smashes The Field In Feature

Donna Foor’s Foot On the
Floor out-finished pacesetter Catlaunch to be victorious in the featured
race at Beulah Park on Saturday. A strong field of seven allowance runners
proceeded to let Catlaunch to set rapid early fractions. Foot On the Floor
pounced on him with an eighth of a mile to go, pulling away to a neck
victory in a time of 1:13 for the six furlongs over the fast track.
Ridden by Alexander
Hernandez for trainer Alan White, Foot On the Floor paid $29.60, $12.80 and
$5.20 as the second longest shot in the wagering. Benewin was a strong
closing second and returned $5.00 and $3.20. Catlaunch faded to third and
had a payoff of $2.60.

Tomorrow’s featured race is the running of the $40,000 Bobbie Bricker

Gate To Wire For Goldharbor Express In Feature

Faulkner’s Goldharbor Express vanquished a difficult field in the featured
race at Beulah Park on Friday. An accomplished field of $7,500 claimers
glazed on as Goldharbor Express dashed his way to the lead and never looked
back, drawing away to a 1 ¾ length victory in a running time of 1:12 3/5 for
the six furlongs over the fast track.
Ridden by Marco Ccamaque,
Goldharbor Express returned $8.20, $4.00 and $3.40. Steelyeyed closed well
for second and paid $3.80 and $3.20. Muhtabid finished third and returned
his backers $3.00.

Reuben Peppers’ Twilight
Hunter sped past Half Diamond in the final 100 yards to win the featured
race at Beulah Park on Thursday. A full field of ten Ohio-bred allowance
runners looked on as Half Diamond forged his way to the front in the early
stages. Twilight Hunter swung into action around the final turn to run down
the fatigued front-runner in the final furlong to win by 1-¼-lengths. The
running time for the six furlongs was 1:12 1/5, the third fastest time of
the meet.
Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez
for trainer Robert Cline, Twilight Hunter paid $3.40, $2.40 and $2.40. Half
Diamond faded to second and returned $4.40 and $3.40. Dare He Goes bolted
into third and had a payoff of $7.00.

Chesney Carolina Scores The Upset In Feature

Krug’s Chesney Carolina rushed past favorite That’s Me Boy in the final 70
yards to be victorious in the featured race at Beulah Park on Tuesday. A
field of eleven Ohio-bred allowance runners watched longshot Coach Me Katink
set quick early fractions. That’s Me Boy was the first to pass the tiring
pacesetter only to be passed herself as Chesney Carolina proceeded to draw
away to a 2 length victory. The running time for the six furlongs on a fast
track was 1:14 2/5.
Ridden by Ramon Luna for
trainer Kjeld Madsen, Chesney Carolina paid $70.20, $17.80 and $10.80 as the
fourth longest shot in the wagering. That’s Me Boy was second and returned
$3.60 and $2.80. Pink Meow rallied on for third and returned her backer
$3.80.

Howard Way Shows The Way In Feature

Cline’s Howard Way surpassed pacesetter Highland Spy in the final 100 yards
to win the Sunday feature at Beulah Park. A field on ten $3,500 claimer
gazed on as Highland Spy coasted through slow early fractions. Jockey Ivan
Gonzalez called on Howard Way for his best around the final turn and he
responded. Howard Way engulfed the leader and drew away to a 1-¾ length
victory. The running time for the mile over the muddy surface was 1:43 1/5.
Howard Way, now 11 for 53
lifetime, returned $17.80, $9.00 and $5.40. Highland Spy held gamely to
second and paid $5.40 and $3.80. Solid Wood finished a belated third and had
a payoff of $3.80.
